Hey guys,
I have posted on this once before and I appreciate all the advice and wisdom. I have just recieved notice that AACOMAS sent out my application.
1. Who are usually the first to send secondaries??
2. Which schools send secondary notices via email.

Thank you guys so much, and I appologize if this thread has already been posted somwhere.

really depends on what schools you applied to. from what i remember, you should start to get some by mail and email within about two weeks.

off the top of my head:
LECOM-mail
DMU-email
MSU COM-email
AZCOM-email
UNECOM-email
KCOM-email
VCOM-email
WVSOM-secondary given only if granted an interview
TCOM-email
PCOM-mail, i think
NOVA-email

i know that there are many others, but those are some that i can remember.

Hey...
I submitted my aacomas really late too...
and it was sent out on 11/17/05
I only applied to western and tucom...both schools told me it would take a couple of weeks to received secondaries.
I received my secondary for western on 11/22/05 via email....
But I have not yet heard from TUCOM (my number 1 choice) but i heard they send their's through snail mail

You may have some secondaries come in by the end of this week or next week through email...but snail mail is obviously going to take longer.

GOod luck...
I know how you feel cuz I applied late too....
Take CARE!

Thanks for all the replies. Boonsha, what are your stats like?? I am also wondering if i am far too late in this game. I really hope not. My MCAT is low at a 21 but my senior year I had a 3.9 NS and 3.4 Science GPA. Similar grades freshman and sophmore year, and horrible grades my junior year due to my brother passing. I have extensive medical experience here and in africa and the ukraine, and am on the board of directors for a non profit childrens org.

what do you all think? can I send letters to some of the schools explaining how interested i am in them?? would this be wise?

thank you so much!

Hi Gobeavers

My gpa is like yours...avg is 3.77 for both science and non science, but my mcat is above avg for DO schools

I definetly think you still have a chance..
If I were you...I would focus on your top choice schools (and ones that you defiently fit the min. requirements) and start the secondaries...(a lot of them can be found online)...if you need touro's or western/comps let me know and i will send them to you if you cant find them.

If you have ur secondaries and letters or rec ready...then you will speed up the process.

I would wait to receive the secondary before sending a letter to the schools.

GOOD LUCK

🙂
