i wanted to know whether i need to retake the pcat score or not. i got an 82 composite, with 80's on everything but reading comprehention, where i got a 30. my question is, is that 30 on RC going to hurt me. How much importance do they put on reading? Just one more question. Would prior military service be good or bad on a application. Is that something I want to include or leave out?

I think military service is always an excellent thing to put on an application! Also, with a composite score in the 80's I would probably wouldn't take the PCAT again (even with the one low score).

Honey, no need to retake the exam again, its not like you got the 30 on chemistry which carries far more weight than Engl or Comp.

The only thing that you have to worry about with the 30 in RC is that some schools require above a 50 in each section. Look up specific schools to find out more, and whether that would apply to you. If it does (meaning you school of choice has that criteria), you'll have to retake. They're pretty stricts about that.

i've looked for that type of info. i haven't been able to find pcat requirements for particular schools. anyone know where to look. there is no way of getting a hold of anyone at the school this time of year.

Call the schools you are interested in and ask specifically about their PCAT requirements. Different schools look out for different things in regards to PCAT scores.
