I was interviewed by UCSF a month ago and I just received their rejection. You have no idea how much it hurts since UCSF was my first first first choice. What should I do? Should I call them and ask them to reconsider my application at least for the waitlist?

Please any advice or consolation is greatly appreciated for I am immensely depressed beyond measure.

Assuming that you don't need to reapply I wouldn't bother since it won't matter anyway. Once they have decided there really isn't anything else to talk about. If you are going/need to reapply then it might be smart to see how you can improve your application. However, they probably won't tell you anything you don't already know.
