just took the dat and didn't do so well...i'm really nervous...what do you think of my scores?

i have a 3.45 academic gpa...do you think i have a chance at nyu or anywhere else?

I think those scores are good. Dont get discouraged just because everyone on here posts their 20+ scores. You did really well on the sections that probably matter the most...the sciences. QR is low but a lot of people are struggling on it so your not the only one. I think the only score that may stand out is PAT....and thats not even really low. If you studied your a$$ off and did the best you could then you should be proud of yourself.....if you didnt put in the time and effort you think you could have then retake it and make sure you do better. What did you use to study?

thanks for replying...i hope you're right..i used a lot of different study materials and was getting much higher scores on the practices but i'm not the best test taker..never was...i think the most helpful thing was probably DAT destroyer...i also used kaplan, topscore (which i didn't really like), crack pat (which i guess didn't work for me because i was getting much higher scores on that) and also for bio - you need to know a lot more than kaplan...the joke of the whole thing is that i got A's in all the college english classes i took and calc and stat and i go to an ivy league school - i know the ivy league isn't everything but reading and math is never an issue for me - go figure...i hope the schools see that because the thought of taking that test again is nauseating...do you think i have a shot at nyu?

I don't think scores really care that much about PAT or QR so I think you "lucked out" by not doing terribly well on those as oppose to the more important science scores and RC. You just never know, but to me I think you have a shot.
