Hi,
Does anyone know which type of petitions/appeals go through after you have been kicked out of a program? Does depression work? What excuses has anyone used that has worked before? My school is willing to let me give them information about myself to let me back into the program. What information should I give them?
Thanks.

Did you change from pre-opt to pre-pharm? Is this for undergrad or a professional program?

We aren't going to give a list of excuses as to why you should be back in a program, however. If you have some circumstances and everything we might help you find a way to phrase it to them. The overall way you handle yourself is on your own accord.

I was in a pharmacy program so that is a professional program.
My circumstance is that I was having symptoms of depression during school so I didn’t participate in class and therefore, I was required to leave because I did not meet the academic requirements. Does anyone know if depression works? Does this sound like a good reason for what happened to me?

I think you should just be honest and upfront with them. If you are not you are only creating MORE stress for yourself to keep up with a lie that you have created. Depression if it was happening to you is a serious thing which I am sure you are aware of, I wouldn't think trying to rush back into a program with a high rigor would be advised if not truly ready. And I mean no disrespect but your looking for an easy excuse to give them doesn't sound like you have truly taken control of the situation.

Are you kidding me? If you had something legit going on, that's one thing. But it sounds to me like you're just coming here looking for a good story to get you back into school. Like Celtic said, take control of the situation. Stop making excuses, tell your school the truth, and if you need help, get it.

Thank you for your answers. Do you think if I use depression as my reason, the school will not let me back into the program because they will think I won't be able to succeed? I'll say that I am getting the treatment that I need to be able to complete the program when I go back.

You thanked but I dont know if you truly read the answers.

I don't know ANYONE better but YOU that can tell the school the right answer. It doesnt matter one little bit what anyone on here thinks is a good reason or excuse rather, for the school to hear.

You truly just need to give them honesty. I don't care if a million different posters on here said a million differe reasons to give.

There is only one that matters, and thats the honest one, yours.
