Any thoughts on the hemepath market? Do you think someone that does hemepath only for a few years limits its market potential for a general position too much?
How easy/dificcult it is to find hemepath only positions? How about compensation?

My experience is that it isn't that difficult if you are not limiting yourself by geography. Lots of academic and commercial labs seem to be looking. As for myself I would be very apprehensive about signing out general surg path after not doing so for 3-5+ years. At least without doing some type of refresher (surg path fellowship).
