what is hemizygous?
I got definition from googling it but I still don't understand it.

Could someone give me an example? especially for males?

refers to a one allelic condition.... so males are hemizygous for the sex chromosome, while females are either homozygous or heterozygous

isn't it the opposite? I thought males are always heterozygous for having one X and one Y wheras females are always homozygous.
And is hemizygous = heterozygous since both of them have 1 sec chromosome?

If there's only one allele for something then you are hemizygous for it. For example, the sry gene is on the Y chromosome. Females don't have it at all. Males are hemizygous for it.
You would never say you're hemi/hetero/homozygous for an entire chromosome.
