I am attaching my transcripts. I have some simple but very important questions:

1 - What classes should I consider when calculating my GPA for med school? Should I consider ALL math courses I took? Should I drop economics? Should I include or drop English? How about the computer stuff?

2 - (Bonus Question) If you are kind enough, can you tell me what additional classes do I need to take to complete the pre-med requirements? I took One semester of Chemistry + LAB. So it looks like I need another semester of Chemistry + lab, is that correct? Would any community college chemistry + lab course do it? I know I have to take biology and orgo, for one year. How about physics? I took 2 physics courses, but no lab (it was transferred but no transcript). Do I have to take one year of physics lab?

search BCPM GPA...there is a huge list somewhere on here. Good luck!

1) Start reading the documents here. https://www.aamc.org/students/applying/amcas/amcasresources/

2) Prereqs generally run:
1 year of gen chem + lab
1 year of organic chem + lab
1 year of bio + lab
1 year of physics + lab
1 year of English
and some level of math. To get a general sense, search for postbaccalaureate programs and see what courses they offer. To get specific ideas for each school, locate a copy of the MSAR.

Thank you. First good news for my against-all-odds journey to med school: it looks like I have a perfect 4.0 BCPM gpa with 24 credit hours. I hope it helps somehow.

1 - All courses will count in determining your cumulative GPA. As for your science GPA (aka BCPM - Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and Math), which medical schools generally consider more important...math counts, economics doesn't, do whatever you want with English (it doesn't count), and computer classes generally don't count. See this thang: https://services.aamc.org/AMCAS2_2010/WebApp/Help/WebHelp/Course_Work_Course_Classification.htm

2 - Each school has different requirements; I'd recommend purchasing the MSAR online for that info. But most schools require or recommend the following: 2 semesters bio plus lab, 2 semesters inorganic chem plus lab, 2 semester physics plus lab, 2 semesters Ochem plus lab, and some humanities/other + upper-division science courses + a math course. Community college coursework is almost always acceptable, but again, check the MSAR.

I noticed this transcript is from the 90s. You'll also want to check with each medical school you're considering to determine their policy on coursework accepted before a certain date. Some schools accept coursework as far back as 5 years, some 7 or 10 years, and most indefinitely.
