It's summer and it's hot out so I'm thinking of cutting my hair shorter.

BUT I'm already thinking about interviews and how my hair should be, especially because some schools are super conservative.

So I guess what I'm asking is what is considered conservative hair? Can girls have pixie cuts or should hair be above the shoulders? Does it have to be long? I know it doesn't matter much, but I'm wondering what you girls and guys think about this!

Thanks in advance!

It's never too early to fire up a 2012 High Fashion Interview thread. Pics are mandatory for optimal advice.

Pixie cut. I went ahead and looked that up. I'm no woman, but I'd say length doesn't matter much so long as it's neat and colors are natural.

I think any length is fine as long as your haircut itself is conservative. I probably wouldn't go in with hair down to your butt or a shaved head, but other than that I'd think most lengths are fine.

The only thing you'd want to keep in mind if you decide to go really short (pixie or similar) is that they're a bitch to grow out, so you'd either have to keep your hair very short through interview season OR find something to do with awkward "I'm growing out my super short haircut" hair that doesn't look weird for your interviews.

I highly doubt they will be crossing you off based on your hair style.

What they really worry about is your shoes.

Seriously though, unless you have a mohawk, shaved head(for a girl), or rainbow colored hair you will probably be fine in that department. If you can pretty much blend in with a crowd you will be safe.

I would recommend the fe-mullet. It shows you are professional but can also let loose a little. I

n all honestly, I don't think the hair is a deal breaker one way or the other. If a school doesn't accept you because your hair is too long/short, I can assure you its not a school you want to be in.

girls with ponytails... oh gosh. instant acceptance if I had the power. Brunettes an extra 👍

This must be why some schools require the 2" x 2" photo as part of supplementary materials. 🙂

I better find a new do then 🙁

Just don't walk in looking like Lisbeth Salander

I'm leaving my hair long and natural. Or I might tie half of it up so that it look neat and sophisticated 🙂

I'm attracted to long hair, short boring hair appears non-playful to me.Thats about all your question can be answered as. Personality is what matters..

It's so big and bald. Imagine all the knowledge in that head...

i would stay with my longer hair, not cut it short. you can do more with it for each of your interviews 🙂

Whatever makes you look like a perfect 10.

I made up my mind. I'm going to get a cut with steep layers so that I can keep the length without the weight =)

One of my dexterity skills is haircutting, too bad I can't cut my own hair!

my hairs like to my bellybutton & wavy and i dont plan on cutting it anytime soon. the only thing id do is straighten it for an interview. and leave it down .
is that lame? oh well
