Whats up?

Im new to the forums so I thought I would introduce myself...Im in college now pursuing a career in pharmacy..Im currently a sophmore with a 4.0 GPA..

Latley Ive fallen into a slump...Im slipping in all of my classes and I will have to retake Biology once again for sure...Im so stressed out and scared of taking the PCAT and doing poorly or not being accepted anywhere...Im just scared of being a failure and not accomplishing something which is a dream at this point...

If anyone can give me any advice or opinions I would greatley appreciated it...Also better study habit techniques or opinions as well. I really dont have any friends who are doing pre-pharmacy so I decided to join these forums and seek help, guidance, and support..

Thanks a bunch,

Mike

Don't slack and waste valuable time. If you have time to study, make it your #1 priority. Use stress to motivate yourself to study, but also don't allow yourself to get psyched out by what others say or by your own fear.

Just like cross said, stress is a powerful motivation tool. Also, learn to let go of things. You've only got one year of college under your belt and you have a 4.0, which is great, but the odds of it lasting are not great and you should go ahead and come to terms with it. I'm not saying to strive for medicrity but just remember that your best is all you can ask of yourself. Learn your limits. Don't push yourself so hard that you crack.

This comes from a former 4.0 student. Then I got to organic I, and made a C+. First C I'd ever made...but then I used that as motivation to do better in Orgo II and I turned around and made a B+.

Also...do not stress about PCAT. You've done so well in your first year (assuming bio and gen chem and math) that you really don't need to study....unless you think you do. Personal experience says that the best prep is doing well in your classes.

Good luck :luck:
