Looks good to me. Med schools like to see research experience, even if you're not going for MD/PhD, and this looks like a pretty prestigious program, so I think this would give you an advantage.
Doing research in the summer and studying for the MCAT is fine, as long as you learn the material thoroughly in your first and second year classes (i.e. you don't need to learn the basic physics, bio, or chem for the first time). Taking an entire summer off to study for the MCAT is unnecessary and WILL disadvantage you because that summer will essentially be empty on your application.
