If you don't submit a transcript, the new school will never knew you previous history? (Please let's skip the ethical part of the discussion and straight to the point.

Probably not, I'm assuming you're talking about transferring and not submitting a transcript from your old school? Why would they even care if you didn't? Usually students are the ones that want/need to, so they can get credit for classes previously taken. I never transferred my credits over when I did my postbacc and no one had a problem with it, I showed a copy of my transcript to an academic advisor when I had to have some pre-reqs hold overridden but that was it.

However AMCAS will require you to submit all transcripts so med schools will see all of it.

No, they won't. I had a friend from Pakistan whose school (and records) were destroyed after some Al-Qaida raid. Instead of going into the details on the AMCAS (because she had for jobs, and it was a nightmare you'd never want to deal with), she just never mentioned it. No problems were had. Starting Year Two at NYU

as someone who had to submit like 4 transcripts (no, really, one dated back to a college summer course I took as a Junior in High school) you would be surprised how observant AMCAS can be.

having said that if you transferred from an international school that was destroyed by terrorist...yeah you probably can get away without bothering. I do not really see any grey area morality wise either. if you completed your degree and have the necessary requirements without credit from other transcripts, then I do not see why you need to submit them.

I guess if you did it and it worked then it worked. I'm a little confused. Are you saying the you never transferred credits into the institution where you did your postbacc? Or are you saying you omitted a school you attended on your AMCAS. Basically, the only problem I see is that you did have to show a copy of your transcript to the advisor to override the holds. I think when this happens they make a copy of the transcript and a note. I'm doing my postbacc now and this is what they did for me.

The only way I see being able to hide a transcript would be if you never used those credits for anything.

I never transferred the credits. Like I said, AMCAS requires all transcripts so med schools will see all your grades. And they can find out if you omit one (assuming it's from a US school).

No copies. I showed up at her office with a paper copy of my transcript (coffee stained and frayed one from ~8years ago, I should probably get a new one, lol), she looked at it, signed off on the form and I went on my merry way. Had to do it again a few quarters later, same procedure.
 
Agree with the morality stuff, totally. I took a few courses at an online school that I still reported, even though it wasn't worth the hassle. Seriously, whatever you are planning to not report, there's SO much more to lose than gain, OP, so whatever damage it does to your chances is worth reporting it, instead of omitting it.

Morality aside, don't you have to give schools permission to release your information? They can't just find out, can they? I'm curious about the legal aspect. I mean, your boss isn't even allowed to know your marital status (HR is) unless you choose to release that information. This seems like a whole other level.

Schools can find out via clearinghouse.

You have to release your transcript but information on when/where you were a student (also degree info too I believe) is available through the studentclearinghouse.
