High attrition rate in Anesthesiology?

Actually on closer inspection its more like this:

Hire CRNAs ---> allow them to do everything an MDA does so you can bill for it ----> make a ****load more money -----> retire

Of course, there's more arrows leading to the side effects of CRNAs getting independent practice rights AS A DIRECT RESULT of the MDAs greed, but what do they care? They've already cashed out, so they could care less if the future of MDAs goes into the toilet.
 
so obviously MacGyver has no clue...

there is no evidence of any high attrition rate... in fact due to the shortage of anesthesiologists and the great market out there, there is a lower attrition rate.... the only places you will see a high attrition rate is from academic centers, where anesthesiologists are leaving behind their 200k/yr salaries for private practice where they can more than double their income!!!!

so nothing to worry about...
 
I'm pretty sure MacGuyver said something inane again or probably referenced something about CRNA's.

Fortunately, the ignore MacGuyver tab just makes his stench waft away.
 
McGyver get a clue. Unless you are actually an anesthesiologist or at least a resident (and you are neither, not even an MD), you can stop making baseless comments that only show your ignorance.
 
Where do I find that ignore tab??? I would have used it a long time ago.

I agree with the above statements that academic centers are having a hard time keep staff anethesiologist secondary to a good job market. Other that that, the attrition rate is low.
