Whats the longevity of the battery? The hi frequency mode uses alot of energy
 
They told me 10 years as well but I think you have to charge daily.

A couple of points about this article...

I'm so glad they published it in Anesthesiology, right next to this article "N-terminal pro-B-type Natriuretic Peptides’ Prognostic Utility Is Overestimated in Meta-analyses Using Study-specific Optimal Diagnostic Thresholds" Why the hell did they publish it in Anesthesiology anyway....weirdos.

Second - I love that they think that 1 year is LONG TERM. Did these guys just finish pain fellowship? I would have thought Kapural knew better.

Thirdly - is anyone concerned about long term neurological effects of continuous high frequency field effects? Do we know it isn't going to cause dysfunction or damage?

Studied in animals over years with no effect. 1 year is 4x longer than any drug trials for chronic pain.
 
It's been in Approved in Europe and Australia but not sure how long
 
any head to head testing between this and the typical companies?
I've had my reps give patients a high frequency option for about a year now and many patients prefer it. But the max rate of MDT is 1200 Hz, not 10,000 like nevro, however both are much higher than "traditional rates' of 30 to 90.

It would be interesting to test the big threes equipment set to maximum rates, 1200-1500 Hz vs the nevro. Hasn't nevro only tested their stuff vs a standard stim rate of about 50 Hz ?
 
Nevro's head to head study was against Boston.
 
I hear from the Medtronic rep that the traditional stim treatment arm patients were not allowed to reprogram during the 12 months. Is this true? If so, it's obviously not a fair comparison

During the FDA trial the BS reps had unlimited access to patients and could program as often as they wanted.
 
Any updates from those who have tried it?

Steve, ligament, how did it go? Are you booking more?
 
how is you patient selection between standard SCS versus Hi frequency.
