I guess it might sound strange but this has been on my mind. I came here to see if anyone can help explain it.
My sister applied to dental school a few years ago with a 3.9 GPA and I don’t remember the exact score of her DAT but it was in the 99th percentile.
She was also involved in many activities at college. She even did a program where she went around to local elementary schools and taught students about oral hygiene.
I’m obviously biased and don’t know much about dental school admittance... but I was wondering if anyone could help explain why someone with her stats wouldn’t get in?
It honestly doesn’t matter at this point because she lives overseas, teaches ESL now and has moved on with her life... but I still wonder about it from time.

Maybe her interview(s) didn't go so well? Stats are good, but the interview is what seals the deal.
