Just wanted to see your opinion on whether I should retake or not. My GPA is a 3.808 but my scores on yesterday's DAT were disappointing:

TS:19
Bio: 18
Chem: 20
Orgo: 19
QR: 15... killed me!😱
RC: 19
PAT: 18
AA: 18 🙁

The math section is what brought my whole AA down, do you think it's worth it to retake it primarily just for one section?

You're quite balanced other than that. Based on what I've heard, I think you have a shot as long as you apply early and everything else is in order. If your low score was in any of the sciences, you might still consider...but its not. I'd roll with it.

With that GPA you will defn be competitive but again it depends on what school you would like to go to...say you want to go to Harvard? They might not find those numbers so attractive. I have also heard schools might question the quality of your GPA because of an avg. DAT score. It's always better to have a high DAT score so if you don't mind studying for it again I'd say take it again. You might even just take it in again in the fall and decide if you would like to submit it or not depending on the outcome. Looking at your numbers it's only that one section that sticks out and many schools don't seem to mind so much if your QR is low. I know it's a hard call but go with your gut feeling.

Well, first of all I would advise you to apply to many schools. The more schools you apply to the more chance you have of getting in. Furthermore, if you think you can do better on the DAT then by all means retake it. Try to find out what was the average DAT score of the people who got accepted into schools of your choice last year. Base your decision on that. If you are below average on DAT score ( I certainly hope that you are not) then I would try to get a better score.
Good luck.

1-Why not call a few schools and ask them what they think? Get a feel for it.
2-If that is your science GPA that definetly helps. High GPA's always help.
3-18 AA isn't too bad, not too awesome either. Consider many of the schools averages... isn't 17ish the National Average. I have heard if you get a 17 then retake it, if you get 18 its kinda borderline... 19 you at least can breath a bit...
4-GOOD LUCK!
