"High Hold" waitlist for NOVA???

Just trying to evaluate my chances for NOVA southeastern, I recieved a letter from Nova about two weeks ago saying I was placed on thier "High Hold" waitlist and was just curious how many other on here join me on that list.

I'm on the high hold wait list as well. I interviewed back in November though.

I'm on high hold as well. I interviewed in sept. Sent both dr lippman and ms zarrett emails asking if there were still seats available and if they were still considering early interviewees. I received read receipts for both emails, but no responce from either?

I think there's a relatively large number of high holds, i know i'm on it and atleast one other person from my school, but don't lose hope

Yeah there are about 60 on the "high hold" list and over 200 total people on the overall wait-list.

I'm almost certain that there is a ranking. People have said there is a top 60 waitlist and then the overall waitlist which can have like 200 people. I've been on the waitlist since forever and just hoping to hear back.

Supposedly it moves fast. But I know second round of acceptances have already gone out in January. As of right now, it seems as if the class is full...or nearly full. I have only seen one person post on SDN that they have been accepted and I think that was on Feb 1st.

has anyone gotten into NOVA that had an interview after jan 15th?
It seems the classes were even full/almost before Jan. 15th.

I had an interview on Feb. 4th and they told me there were still about 15 spots left....but I was placed on the "high hold" list on the 15th...so I don't know what to think anymore.

Are you sure you want to go to Nova? If you get into another school I would choose that instead. Nova is a horrible school. I'm attending Nova right now and I can tell you is the biggest waste of money. The tuition is high and they make you buy your own equipment. The majority of the faculty and staff are completely unhelpful. Most of the people in my class are behind their requirements mainly because the school is ran so ineptly.

i kind of feel like these posts (like the one above) are by the same person. Only a few posts, all hating on NOVA. I am sure that NOVA has its problems, just like every dental school in the country. But education is what you make of it. If you are behind on requirements, then ask yourself why you aren't one of the people who isn't? Keep up hope everyone who is still waiting to hear back, I wish you all the best.
