High Stats Non-Trad, but Radio Silence from Top Schools

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
In so far as you have an acceptance in hand, and at least an invite to UVA, which many would argue IS an elite school, I'd stop fretting lest you convey an unflattering sense of entitlement
Agreed, it's really fantastic to have an acceptance this early. My friend has gotten 8 IIs with far fewer ECs (non-URM also) and has gone on all of them already, but she actually doesn't have any acceptances yet (basically just silence for now, with a few explicitly telling her that decisions won't roll out for a while).

Honestly, at this time the majority of applicants have no more than 1 or 2 II's, much less to top schools. I think you're doing fine. Those two II's could turn into A's on top of the early acceptance you already have. These forums make it seem like everyone has 5+ IIs when in reality that's not the case. Most people would gladly switch positions with you.

THIS. SDN is not representative of the whole applicant pool or matriculation pool. Many many matriculates had 1-2 interviews. Having 2 good interviews is fantastic!

I mean how did you even know there's data lol. That's crazy. given only 40% people matriculate. only 1% get around 10+ interviews. I feel completely shocked and fortunate... had no idea I will get this lucky lol.

Thankfully I have received some II's, including 1 top 10 program and 1 to a top 30 program. I still have radio silence from the rest of the top schools though and was complete in July.
About me: I am an older non trad. I currently work at the NIH working as a part of a project team that helps lead candidates get to an original IND with the FDA. I originally worked on Capitol Hill as a staffer, where I became inspired to become involved with healthcare. I then went to work at an academic medical center as a clinic manager, where I worked on a variety of both advocacy projects and clinical projects. My research experience consists of several poster presentations on clinical research focused on rare diseases at national conferences (5 total posters). I have several hundred hours of shadowing subspecialties at the hospital I worked at , along with volunteering at that hospital and tutoring inpatient oncology patients in the pediatric ward (several hundred hours there as well). I also volunteer at a hospice (100 hours). In terms of non medical community service, I ran a mentoring program for inner city children in college as well as volunteering for several youth mentoring programs in undergrad. I wanted to know if anyone may have some ideas about radio silence from some of the top programs. Am I on the margin stats wise or is there a potential red flag in my app that I am somehow missing? In general, I think my essays were fine to potentially good. I come from a humanities background and worked with several mentors on my essays.
Stop thinking "I sent in my apps, where are all my interviews???"
