I almost know for a fact that a higher overall GPA looks better on your application, but I was wondering how a lower GPA with amazing GPA incline appealed to the judges...

For example, two students:
One with a 3.65, but started with a 4.0 freshman year and it continually declined

One with a 3.55, but started with a 3.0 GPA SOPHMORE year, and received 4.0 his final two years along with summer sessions

How much more would the first student be favored? Could you express it in terms of MCAT score??

hahaha...actually number 2 might be favored...0.1 is not that big of a difference..and if student one started with 4.0 that means senior year he started making something like a 3.2

neglecting all extremes, I believe Higher GPA overall>Lower GPA with incline.

I think that these two scenarios would be looked at on a fairly even keel; with situation B maybe a little favored. Just about every adcom member I've talked to has stated that they like to see a gpa incline. That said I think they take into account the increasing difficult of course loads and thus a slight decline is a more expected trend. Either way I think being in positive ground in either condition would be a strength on your application.
