Hi, I am planning to give a regional board exam and I am open to take any of them. I would appreciate if people can come forward to tell about which of the four regional board exams are the easiest. I mean they have the highest success rate. I would again reiterate that I am open to take any of that.

The NERB and CRDTS have combined forces to become ADEX. ADEX is $1400 and is anticipated to cover 40+ states.

I took the ADEX exam last month, so I can't really comment on the other regional exams. ADEX is all about luck and pt. selection. If you have a good pt. who is reliable (i.e. won't cancel on the day on the exam) and has a good carious lesion (i.e. not the type that go past the DEJ), you should be able to pass. Just make sure you remain calm and you should pass the exam.

The key to passing is knowing which way to err. Choosing lesions: better to have a lesion that's a little too big rather than a little to small. Too big is still manageable, too small is not accepted. Crown preps: over-tapered is points off your score, undercuts are an automatic failure. Class III's: better to over-bevel than under-bevel. Etc, etc. Keeping these things in mind during patient selection and during the actual exam will help you significantly.
