It's to make sure that you graduated, that's it. I just had my interview at UCLA, they also require high school trans., all that the transcript reviewer did was look to see that I got a diploma and not a GED, she even said that when she looked it over. Don't sweat it. Although they looked at the college transcripts in a lot more detail, though still very kicked back.
so FAILING highschool, and then going on to get a 3.8+ in a 4 year top 70 university will be more beneficial than doing good in highschool? im crossing my fingers for ur answers
i also thought buffalo did it to see what state you went to high school. but this probably doesn't make sense. i think they like to see a general trend.
So your transcript reviewer told you she was making sure you didn't get your GED instead of a diploma?
This worries me because the absense of a diploma with a subsitute of GED can mean alot more now days. With the increase of homeschooling also these non-traditional things should be explored before disapproval. Besides, if many people can say they may want transcripts to see any improvement since school, who is to say that a GED could not also be used to improve upon education?
