Hilarious michigan FAQ

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
I love michigan and all, but I couldn't help but stifle a laugh when I read this page 🙂

The more I read about this school the more I want to go..anyone else gonna join me? 😀

As a resident of Southeastern Michigan, I may be biased. But IMHO, Michigan is one of the best universities in the country, and certainly one of the best public one's. Not just for its academics, but for its experience. Ann Arbor is an awesome town to live in. Their definately my top choice 😛

"Remember this: All PharmD degrees are not equal."

This page made me double take:

I was thinking, that if I end up going to Michigan, I may be spending more time writing essays for all these scholarships than learning about drugs.

It seems that even with a few scholarships for making decent grades, their tution is competitive with most top tier colleges. The class sizes are very small at 65, and the total college PharmD enrollement is incredibly small relative to the size of the University.

So I guess the college and the donators really like the pharmacy students, because we all know that "These were not loans".

I don't know if you have to write essays, wouldn't it be easier just for them to give it to us? haha
Most of them are academic scholarships anyways and want you to be of 3. __ GPA + whatever required conditions.

Wow, I was planning on going to Ferris but after seeing those umich scholarships I'm starting to think maybe I should go there instead.. it's closer, too!

Only problem is they require genetics and neither my cc nor the school I'm transferring to next year offer a course in it 🙁

Ok, maybe not essays, but there definetly will be a lot of application related paperwork to fill out. I'm with you, though, and say if you make an A you should win x dollars and if you make a B, you get y dollars.

That's too bad, because genetics is a pretty cool class. You might want to consider taking it through independent study at Mountain State University. I have to take an anatomy and physiology lab through them if I wanna go to UNC because my school only offers the lecture to both anatomy and physiology.
