Depending on your General Biology cirriculum, you may not need A & P. This "histology" thing is being blown way out of proportion.

well that's good to know....even though my general bio seems lacking. I've just started a&p and wouldn't have had a clue about some of the slides i'm learning....

Is it very very basic stuff like telling the difference between columnar and cuboidal, or a little more deeper than that like recognizing where the slide came from (i.e. what kind of tissue you are looking at)?

Aren't the four types of tissues Epithelial, Connective, Nervous, and Muscle? Any review books have good diagrams to review this? I will probably just google it for pictures.

I'm wondering if it could go deeper than that, like lets say recognizing a slide from the liver...

Probably not.. If they were put slides on DAT, I'd say cell organelles such as mitochondria (the ones that have distinguishing morphology we should know)
