BRS Pathology has the high yield topics covered on the USMLE Step I. I would pick a copy of that up.

You should pick up a copy of Robbin and Coltran Pathology or Robbin;s Basic Pathology and Look through the index. You'll see that the pathologies are broken down into two major categories: (1) systemic and (2) organ systems
The Systemic pathology pretty deals with general pathologies like Inflammation, tissue damage, immune disease and cancer
The pathology of organ system goes through the major pathology that is common among each organ systems like cardiovascular disease, renal disease, etc. Glk studying!

I think the OP is asking which disease should you actually look at the path slides for, not "what diseases should I study." Histology is not very well reflected on the Boards. What becomes more important is the mechanism of disease, not the actual way it looks on a slide.
The first poster had it right. If you want to know what slides you should know for the boards, pick up Goljan's Rapid Review and First Aid. They have the content you want, and also have color plates to review the highest yield histo slides for the boards.

has anyone looked at high yield histopathology? Is webpath probably the best resource to study slides for class exams?

Webpath was money for my path lab questions. Also had some good written questions as well
