Hey guys, i have a little cairn terrier mix here who was struck by a truck the other day. Well hes at the vet right now resting. Theyre saying his pelvic bone has a single fracture located here shown by the red line.

They told me it may or may not heal on its own, is this true? They say he may need surgery or it wont heal. He also has a piece of his disk in his verterbrae that has come free but they say it wont cause any major problems. He also requires that his bladder be excised but may or may not be due to nerve cord swelling. Will this swelling go down and his bladder become of full use again? Please, my dog is very hurt.:scared::xf:

Sorry about your dog. That being said, why would you come to a PRE-vet forum looking for advice about your dog? Why would you use the internet at all, not knowing who is answering your question. Talk to your vet about it.

If you can see eye to eye with me here for a second youll surely realise that im panicking and looking for any hope for my poor dog. Any answer is better then none, something to look forward to right now, hes only 10 months old and is our second dog of the sort because the first one was killed this same way.
