Hmm...It seems we need new books for the new Bio sections.

So, I have been hearing a lot about the new experimental sections and what not that are not covered by the usual materials (such as Cliffs, Shaums, Destroyer, etc.). Anyone have a suggestion of a new book that won't go too much into useless detail for these sections?

Thanks

I heard about new experimental material but I was under the impression that it isn't actually counted in your score since its still in the testing phase. even if it is counted though, i would assume as long as you take away the general knowledge of the current review books (and not just memorization) then it should be equally applicable to any rewording or new formatting they might use. that is unless the new sections are entirely new material? i have not heard of this though.

it's probably not going to be something ridiculous. Don't worry about it. 😀

Doc, I bet that you will recieve nothing lower than 25 on the BIO section. So dont even worry about it! Have you taken any of your practice exams yet?

Only Kaplan and I find them unfair because they repeat the same material.
I started off with only what I learned in my bio class. I still haven't taken ecology, evolution, and plants yet, which really hurts me. I was getting around 13s and 14s in bio. Like 5th percentile according to Kaplan. Now I studied but I have no tests to take 🙁 and I took Kaplan test about 2 weeks ago and I still didn't do well in the bio section...My AA is always high due to O-chem, math, and sort of genchem which I usually nail. RC, PAT, and Bio won't budge hahaha....long post...wow.

I'm in the same boat, I have only taken Anatomy, genetics and general bio, but I figured if I know every single thing written in Kaplan and destroyer i should get atleast get a 20! Well goodluck, I have feeling your gonna do great!👍

I am glad you feel that way, because I don't feel ready.
You should get topscore, you might do better and I have noticed it gives a better estimate of where you stand.

You just need your general biology text book. Without going into specifics, I had 2 questions on embryology that were right out of my campbell's general biology text book.

How detail do they get? Do we have to know the experiments stuff?
