I received an email Yesterday from Kentucky saying they are going to wait until they receive other applications for Fall 2010 before they decide to offer an interview. Did anybody else receive this letter? I've looked at postings from last year and nobody seemed to have any success after receiving this letter. I'd like to be optimistic but I don't know if this is saying they are just going to put me on the back burner just in case. I have a feeling that it is a slim chance since there are only 15 spots.

"Your preliminary admission materials from the AADSAS Application Service were recently reviewed. While interest was expressed in your application, we would like to compare your admission credentials with those of other applicants for the Fall 2010 entering class. As we make these comparisons, we will notify you regarding the possibility of an invitation for an interview"

I received the same message today, actually. Although it's not the best news, it's definitely better than a rejection. Do you, by chance, know how Kentucky delivers rejections or if anyone's been rejected yet?

I called Kentucky this morning regarding the Hold for Comparison. They are waiting to hear back from the last round of acceptances (~30 days from now). There are 10 people on the waiting list for in-state and 15 on the waiting list for out-of-state. After those waiting lists have been exhausted, then they will offer interviews to the people on the Hold for Comparison list. The probability of getting an interview is quite slim, but at least there's a minuscule chance. 🙂

Hmmm...I got that same email back in December... (12/11/09)
haven't heard anything back since though...!!!

The deadline for UK was December 15. Sounds like you received a form letter, which you might as well put it in the O file, unless you do believe and are expecting a miracle.

If Scott Brown can win the senate seat for the most liberal state in the union, any of us still have a shot at Kentucky.

Anything can happen. I agree it is a pretty slim chance. But I'm not going too worry too much about it. Hopefully those of you still waiting for acceptance or even interview get a shot. Whoever gets an interview let us know.
