Can one hold licenses in more than 1 state? i.e NY/NJ or NY/PA?

So technically you can hold a license in any 2 or 3 states at one time if you just meet the requirements of that state?

Yup! I practice in a town that is 1 town South of the CT/MA line and also borders RI. There are multiple dentists in my town (both GP's and Specialists) that have offices in multiple states, and hence are licensed in CT and also either MA or RI. Heck, one of the endodontists in my town is part of a group that has offices in CT, MA and NH and he's licensed in all 3 states. If you meet the requirements, all you have to do is write out the check to those states every license renewnal cycle (varies by state) and you're all set. On the renewal form, some states do ask you if you have an litigation or felonies convictions either potentially pending or already incurred against you since your last license renewal period, even in other states.

To echo what everyone else is saying, yes. I have a license in AZ and MN. It's not hard to maintain. Valid CE will count toward both states' requirements. As long as you remain in good standing, keep up with the CE, and pay the fees, you shouldn't have a problem.
