holding on to 2 schools?

Will it have a negative effect if one accepts two schools in the first round acceptance?
Will the schools know about this? Sorry if this was already discussed but I couldn't find it.

Do you mean if your other schools will look differently if you have already got two acceptances?

First of all, I dont think they will know. They could ask you in the interview. I mean, once you are accepted, why do you need to worry?

Sorry if I was not clear enough.
I happened to make two deposit for two different schools b/c I was still not sure where to go. But somebody told me you can't do that so I was wondering if I did something wrong..

It is not very nice to other applicants, but I think you could hold two acceptances. Now you just have to think carefully to make the decision for your next 4 years. If you want to share which schools did u get accepted to, we could help giving you ideas. So you will free up spaces for other applicants.

it's Upenn and nyu.
it's been hard for me because I love the city- manhattan- so much but penn seemed nice too. If i really want to stay in the city nyu seemed o.k with me so..

it's been a little hard for me b/c it's not just the school itself but other factors counts a lot to me.

If its that important to you then stay in NY.
I personally would choose Upenn. better school in my opinion.

UPenn is on my list too. I know tons of people who love the school. I still need to go to my interview next month to check it out myself =) It has a strong curriculum.

On the other hand, I heard bad things about NYU. I am not sure if you will have much time to do things, especially in a school that is known to kick people out if they do poorly. Too much distraction might not be a good thing.

if you came today and went on a morning tour, you probably stopped by and saw the classroom where we penn first year students were dying from a very unexciting kidney lecture... 🙂

Why is it a bad thing to kick out people who fail? Those who do not take their education seriously and repeatedly fail exam after exam DESERVE to be kicked out.
