what methods do you use for this section? i've been trying to work backwards and "unfold", but sometimes it's just too hard. anyone have a better method?
First I count the number of paper layers that the hole is going through, that is going to equal the number of holes in the final unfolded paper. That is an easy way to eliminate wrong answer choices.
I get 14 or 15 out of 15 every time using the grid method...just draw out a really quick 4X4 grid, and mark the locations of the holes as you mentally unfold the paper...its definitely helpful when there are lots of holes to keep track of!
the grid method helps a lot! it takes a little getting used to, but it made me work much faster for hole punching, and i went from getting 10-12 right to consistently 14-15 on cdp tests
