anyone have any tips for hole punching method other than line of symmetry and grid method. CDP is really kicking my butt on this and pattern folding. i heard there is something called this "mirror image strategy backwards" anyone know what that is? Please help!

bump. hole punching is my worst section for the PAT and my test is in 2 days

angles is definitely my worse. I am hoping that on the DAT they don't have impossible hole punch questions
I have heard that the angles are quite doable on the DAT compared to Crack DAT. Angles are my worst section as well but on other programs I can get them so I'm not too worried about it.

I can't think of any other method than the grid method.

Its the most logical thing.

Never heard of mirror strategy backwards either. might just be line of symmetry.

If you keep practicing you'll get better. Plus you don't need to get all the holes correct, just enough to eliminate. like other sections of pat. it usually comes done to 2 choices after a few glances.

If you have the extra hole punching, you should use that too. it really help with crazy paper plane making folds.

Forget that stupid symmetry garbage that that blonde taught bro and stick with the old fashioned "do it in your head" lol

what i did and i ended up getting like 14/15 instead of like 6/15 was i worked backwards and from there the holes fell into place.

And dont worry so much about half folds...they wont appear that often on the exam.

yo mina im hit u up man. what u mean work back words. please help me dude im getting like 6-7/15 which is killing my score and those crazy pattern folds with the cubes :bang:

lol and how the heck do ppl expect u to finish this section in 5 min?!?!?!?!?!?!?!??!?!?!!?

im telling you man just practice! i ended up finishing with 10 minutes to spare on this section...i know that sounds crazy now because i felt the same way but its doable trust just gotta move quick

and you will see that the hardest thing on the exam is actually angles/TFE all the others were very straight with of course minor exceptions lol

I think we have different versions of the exam, because they've DEFINITELY made the hole punching harder. It's not a joke like it used to be.

I spent 10 minutes on the hole punching part on the actual DAT and barely finished the entire section on time.

yes thats the problem!!!! everyone who took the exam last year and took a make up this year, said that the PAT is much much much harder, lol which = much much much more rape LOL. idk man dude TFE i make up my own rules, for every exam. lol i might as well make up my own bio, chem, and orgo while im at it.

i've been using the line counting method for tfe. does that work on the actual exam? i use it to narrow down the choices and use my perceptual ability to try to figure out the answer.

thanks
