Stop griping. Nobody ever looks at the housing forum and general residency issues gets a lot of traffic. Get over yourself. Obviously from the amount of threads and responses devoted to housing it's a hot topic right now and a lot of people are finding it useful.

I realize people would like to have them here, but the OP is right - when I looked at the forum this pm, it was obliterated by housing threads. A couple would have been tolerable, but given the volume they really should be moved to the Wanted/Housing Forum.

As the Byrds said "To every purpose there is a season." ( OK so they didn't say it first but you know). The cycle on the SDN graduate forums is:
Early Fall: Threads about rotating and applications
Late Fall: Threads about interviewing
Winter: Anxiety about not matching/ scrambling
Early Spring: Threads about housing/ cities/ money
Late Spring: Anxiety about starting rotations/ residency
And so it will be forevermore.

It's really unfortunate that you are moving all these threads to the housing forum as the housing forum is popular with students but not residents. And really, most questions are for the residents who've been there, and done that and able to share some wisdom. Yeah, the general residency forum is getting clogged up but only because it is the season for housing issues and it is a hot topic… a general-residency-issue topic. Furthermore, my post is not just a housing post but of general advise on intern life. For the life of me, I don’t understand why some are inconvenienced with things about which they have no interest (complaining about other people’s postings and what not)—I know some of us can’t help it as this overly opinionated and malignant appetite for orderliness is the reason we got into medicine to begin with; But seriously men—whoever started this thread—you need to chill.

How about take the housing threads to the HOUSING FORUM where they belong?

Defeats the purpose of having a Housing forum if they are all found here. 🙄

Now that you know that forum exists....use it. Pretty easy concept to understand actually. I really don't know what all the fuss is about.
