Ok. I will be a freshman this fall. I know this will take extreme dedication and effeciency...but is it worth it?

1st Semester:

Bio
Chem w/ lab
Calc I
Spanish

Yes. Just don't be a ****up and party every night (like I was).

Seems pretty typical...that's what I had freshman year except my writing requirement instead of Spanish... and a poly sci class

That will require extreme dedication and efficiency? I'll be taking the same thing, except Spanish will be Nutrition. I thought it was a pretty light course load compared to what other people normally take.

Dude...that's a pretty easy schedule...

Lol, I misread. I got: "Honesty... is this doable?".

And I was like, "yes, honesty is the best policy"

On point: It's clearly doable, but why would you? If you're going for four years, I don't really see a reason to jam calculus, chem, and bio into your first semester. You're going to potentially have a lot on your plate first semester, adjusting to a new environment and such. Then again, if you're already familiar with chem or calc from AP, it might not be so bad.

Bottom line: sure it's doable, but I wouldn't unless I had to, especially not my first semester in college.

I agree. How many credit hours is that? Next semester should be fun for me with 2 Labs (Chem, Bio) 🙁. Plus 3 other classes. I got a little behind though because of being sick, so thats the reason for that.

depends on a couple things...

-quality of your high school
-the type of university you are attending
-how much you party

just don't join a ton of extra curriculars until your first round of exams comes around

it's a normal load, slightly on the heavy side. (assuming that's 17 credits)

If you are worried about this course load pick another major.....I see a topic like "Is this doable?" and I picture someone asking about 25 hours in a semester not a standard pre-med major course load. 👎

I never took more than 13 units. :scared:

almost same as my first semester... except, instead of chemw/ lab i had english (upper level)... and global connections... and i had bio lab...

got a 4.0 that semester
o yea, I had 17 credits, urs are 15 max..

Do it, and remember... start out strong! You'll be glad you did.

That is the typical schedule for a bio major at my school.

also, not to be that guy but I'm taking four labs next semester. I don't care what people say about it. I'm going to ace it all.

definitely doable if your good in math, chem is basically problem solving and bio is mainly memorizing. If you have a full time job or maybe even part time it might harder but possible. Im taking bio and calculus together but no chem but good luck to both of us!
and dont be like this guy lol

Yep
Just don't pull an all-nighter only to fall asleep in the middle of an exam...

Yes, I did that. No, I didn't fail. The professor was laughing his ass off, though. Because he brought that up after when discussing the average on the test and pointed out to the people that failed how they should feel ashamed cause, pointing to me, this guy fell asleep and still did better.
