I've been a volunteer at an Adult Day Center- they provide daily care and entertainment for older adults and adults with disabilities. As an activities volunteer, I mostly work in the kitchen, helping set-up for meals, and visit with participants. I lead small groups in exercises and trivia.

Would this be seen as clinical? I already have a lot of experience, so I'm hoping to list it as non-clinical. While I'm close enough to 'smell' the patient, and I observe CNAs helping with ADLs, I don't do any myself.

Thanks!!

Are these people "patients". I would say that they are not. They are not there for clinical services and it doesn't sound like the facility provides clinical services. Call it "non-clinical".
Thanks!! I agree

This activity is a nice health-adjacent activity (like some hospice positions). It doesn't sound like you are taking vitals or blood draws talking to physicians about some rehab treatment plan. It's safer to classify as "non-clinical."
Thanks 🙂

They're not patients, their clients. The work is still admirable as an extracurricular

Do you mean "provided nutritional support and intellectual stimulation leveraging aspects of recreational therapy to facilitate sociodevelopmental assimilation in the emerging geriatric population?"

Secondaries have me so cooked.
