These are my stats:

University of Texas at Austin Exercise Science
GRE: 1010 400, 610 quantitative
GPA: 3.41
Pre-req GPA: 3.28
Hours: 20 inpatient, 130 outpatient
Ex Curricular: TA for University Running Classes, Member of APO service fraternity, Vice-President Texas Running Club, Member of Physical Therapy Organization

Can you be realistic and tell me my chances of getting in?

Thanks 🙂

What school(s) are you trying to get into?

i think your chances of getting in are decent. you just have to know what schools your going to aply to, you definitely have to research what the schools like and play to those. It is getting more and more competitive with each cycle, so you have to play smart

I assume youre in TX applying to TX schools.

I was Baylor Univ, 3.3 GPA, dont remember GRE score, maybe 1120? 1500 hrs outpatient 0 inpatient hrs, I got into 3 TX schools and am currently attending one. I highly doubt youll have a problem getting in.

Penguin738,

What schools did you end up applying for?

Check PTCAS and see what the average GPA among accepted applicants was for the last cycle. Some schools really emphasize grades while some are more lenient. Don't apply to just three or four schools. I would aim for 10. My co-student got accepted with an overall GPA of 3.4 and a pre-requisite GPA of 3.4, with okay GREs. I wouldn't worry.

You have a great chance of getting in somewhere, just keep improving your resume and application in the meantime.
