So in background section of the PTCAs, it asks: Were you ever the recipient of any action by any college or university for unacceptable academic performance or conduct violations?
During my freshman year, I took my sick roommate's clicker to class so I could click for her and I got caught. It didn't affect my GPA or anything but I was considered under Honors Probation until I graduated. Additionally, it doesn't appear on my transcript. However, with this burden on my shoulder, I've hit a wave of doubt with this violation when applying. I'm already applying with mediocre stats and I'm scared that this violation will drag me down further.
What do y'all think?

What is honors probation? It's not on your transcript, so I'd be hesitant to admit to that if the school can't find out about it. I've never heard of this though, so I would honestly recommend calling PTCAS customer service and explain your situation. They'll have a better idea as to what falls under "conduct violations", but I don't think they will tell you if you should/shouldn't mention it.

If it doesn't appear on your transcript then I wouldn't worry about it. From the sound of it, your institution's "Honors Probation" is for minor infractions of the honor policy and not anything major requiring dismissal. There's no way that any program could find out about it. Which sounds kind of sketchy to even say. But give yourself the best opportunity for acceptance and don't lose any sleep over it!

I'm not telling the admissions committee about my multiple citations from campus police for riding my bicycle at night without a light. So we can burn in Hell together! 😛 (Note: Hell = PT School)

I wouldn't worry about it. I got a few academic warning letters (warning me about getting close to probation) and also got caught "illegally downloading" music from Napster (yep, I was one of those New York kids who went down in that huge debacle....I had to write a sorry note. That makes me feel old too). Anyway, nothing of record and nothing official so I didn't worry about it.

What is a clicker anyway? I'm curious.

What is a clicker anyway? I'm curious.

Clickers, iClickers, or "personal response systems" as they were sometimes known as at my school, are devices that let instructors ask multiple-choice questions and poll the class. In my case, large lecture courses had clicker questions every day that were related to class material and were worth 10% of your final grade. If you missed class, you missed out on the clicker points for the day. It's a way to gauge students' real-time understanding of material and also a way to encourage attendance. Hence the OP's situation. It's very common to give your clicker to a classmate if you are going to miss class. But definitely against the rules.

Wow!! That's crazy (yes, been out of school a while.). I feel like I'm going to be shocked to go back this fall. Lol
