I think there was a thread previously on this subject but i can't really recall....

anyways, for everyone out there waiting for an interview to northwestern don't give up hope!!!!!

I had my application completed there 8/26 and just got an interview right now!

Did they update their website today? or did you find out in the mail?
 
😀 Thanks for the heads up Keptium...After reading your post I promptly checked my status page and...Merry Christmas! I got an interview to NW also!

For anyone who wants to know I am an August MCATer so my file was probably complete mid/late october(the status page says 8/21 but thats not true since they waited for my mcat scores)
 
Hey all who got the great late christmas present of an interview...

Are we going to be interviewing for waitlist positions?? Don't get me wrong...I'm still going. (it's northwestern for god's sake) but I'm wondering how much of a long shot this is. I'll be there february 11th. Anyone else?

i dont think you'll be interviewing for waitlist spots necessarily. northwestern is on a decision schedule similar to cornell's it seems. basically, they let in a handful of kids who interviewed early a week ago, but the vast majority of the class will be decided upon in march. So, i wouldn't sweat the late interview too much.

I just read through the website and it seems like you're right, DW. Sounds like they have a large group they decide on at the end in March. I still can't believe I got an interview. My GPA and MCATS are below what they average and I'm from a no name school.

On the dorms, does anyone know if we would be getting rooms at Lake Shore Center or Abbott Hall? I could handle dorm life as long as I don't have to share a bathroom/shower with 30 people.
 
The mailed me this thing about housing which had two options only...apt for couples or single dorms. I guess the single dorm rooms have their own bathrooms

uh, and for those of us freaked out by living in a dorm (good GAWD not for me) ... chicago is a big city, people. 😛 housing options abound for us hells-no-dorm-for-me folks. 😀
