  1. Pre-Dental
I graduated from a 4 year college
my gpa is horrible.. 2.6 overral
what I'm considering is do pos bac program but it's not offered until next year due to budget cut (thanks arnold). I have about a year left to apply to pos bac program.
What I'm thinking of doing is either
a) take extension courses in upper bio classes
b) go to vocational school for dental assistant program
I'm willing to spend about 3 years to make my resume strong enough to apply for dental
what can I do in this coming years.......
or should I reconsider other career?
thanks.

the fact that you are willing to put in 3 years in order to get into a dental school is great, and i believe if you do it right you will be a dental student in several years. First i suggest getting a PAID job as a dental assistant or something because i was told by a couple schools that paid experience is highly favorable. Second make sure your postbac gpa is HIGH, and last but not least you MUST KILL the DAT. Study right, stay motivated and it'll all be worth it dude, Good Luck

--oh yeah and go take courses like histology, immunology, med micro. and do great in them(those are the upper div classes you wanna take)

^^What he/she said.
Just make sure you raise that gpa. A's and A+'s ONLY.

If you can handle upper division bio than you might want to consider an M.S., if you can find a school that is willing to take you. It is safe to say that you can skip the da route.
