There are threads discussing this...basically all you have to do is a search in the path forum threads using Hopkins or Baltimore as key search terms. There was one thread devoted to Hopkins two years ago and I think Hopkins was discussed during last year's application cycle.

Here's my skinny:

Hopkins - great program
Baltimore - reputation for scaring ppl away but having grown up near there, having gone to college there, and visiting on several occasions recently, Baltimore has really improved! Still, people who aren't familiar with the city will say "Shenanigans!" and write it off as a sucky place to live.
