whats clinical track vs tenure track in an academic hospital? And are all dentists in academia (who dont do BASIC research, only clinical) are ineligible for tenure track?

It depends on the hospital... is it university based? or not.

My hospital is a private non profit but over 1000 beds... and no tenure for any one
