The question is just how correlated is Medicare's star rating system to the quality of care? There's already criticism that its patient surveys are pointless and fail to measure how well care was delivered, and focuses on amenities such as "the quality of food". Last time I checked, hospitals aren't restaurants, and we shouldn't have to have hospitals installing the latest flat screen TVs in patient rooms to keep them happy (and avoid being dinged by the Medicare bureaucrats) instead of spending that money on more worthwhile measures.
