ok all so here is the deal- I've got this project for class- its more like a competition for fun- our cell phys prof is wanting us to get in touch with what is going on in industry and to learn outside of the textbook "box". So what he's doing is allowing us to spend an amount of imaginary money on biotech stocks (specifically relating somehow, to medicine, biofuels, transgenic foods etc)- and we're going to see who can make the most money over the semester.
So in a period of 3 months, I'm looking for hot biotech stocks that will have good return in short time- so I'm shooting for companies with phase 3 clinical trials in progress or patents that are going to be released ASAP. What do you think, and which companies should I be investigating? Any help will be tremendously appreciated, as I have some knowledge of stocks, but it is very general.
