How many hours a day do you guys spend in school? We're generally 9-noon nowadays, but a friend of mine is in class every day from 8-5 and he hates it because it leaves no time to study if he needs a break.

What's your school's schedule like?

My school likes to do lecture 8-noon and lab stuff 1-5 (some days it's less, but generally that's how it goes). I'm finding, as many others on SDN have found before me, that I do much better if I forgo many of the lectures and study on my own. It's less tiring/stressful, and I seem to do better on exams. Plus, I'm not a morning person... so it's nice to get my stuff done in the evenings instead.

At most: 8-12, 1-4 (I think we've had 5 days like this in 7 weeks)
At least: 9-11

Our weeks at GA-PCOM are front-loaded (yay for half-day fridays!), with afternoons usually reserved for labs.

LMU-DCOM average, at least for first years is 8:30-3:30. This year, we have anatomy lab in the morning and OPP/EPC (essentials of patient care) and lectures fill in the rest. There are 7:30 days mixed in there, as well as days that don't finish until 4:30, but those two are more rare than normal. It makes for a long day that's for sure lol
