Housing for away rotations

I am in the same boat. I wonder what the best way to deal with this is. I am planning on being on a college campus for the summer. There must be a place for me to sublet....
I did several away electives and if the school didn't offer me any help, I tried on-line classifieds and found short term places to live in each place. I was only disappointed in the one in Houston which was in a pretty scary area after dark.
You might try that - most large cities have on-line newspapers or classifieds. And there might be some SDN users in the cities you are interested in who could help.
