Hi, guys!
For people who will be flying out of state for interviews, I am sure that most of people would find a hotel to stay in. However, you guys know that hotel is expensive.

And I heard that most schools offer student housing for free(?) or at a cheaper price. Is this true?
How can I find more about this for individual schools? I think each school's admission website would not mention much about housing.

Thank you so much guys.

You can e-mail them or see if any students are in the area. Depending on how the season goes, I wouldn't mind bringing some pre-med with me to work at 6:30 in the morning listening to crude morning radio, drop you off about 3 hours early so that you can muse about your interview for the next 3 hours, attend your interview, attempt to find me for the next few hours, and then have me ship you back to my house around 6PM for dinner, my treat. Obviously, too early to tell with my housing options up in the air. I'm sure plenty of pre-meds would be willing to house-share for interviews.

It's pretty common for schools to have student hosts for interviewees.

If there's no info on student hosts with your interview invite or on the website I would call the admissions office and check. I know my school has a student host thing set up, but they don't seem to have any info on it up on our website.

Also, stick around and make friends on SDN👍

Student hosts will allow you to learn about the school as well, from someone who's a student there and can tell you the real deal.

You just linked to the thread we were in. I thought I was going insane when I saw myself as the #2 post for a thread o.o

Anyways, student hosts will allow you to learn about the school as well, from someone who's a student there and can tell you the real deal.

 thanks for pointing that out, I meant to link this one

I've fixed it in the original post as well.

Try couchsurfing.org if student hosting = no show. I did it several times and it's really fun (and safe!).
