After you submit your primary application and UHCO receives your application, UHCO will email you the link and password.
 
I received my UHCO supplemental application via e-mail about 5 days after my optomcas application was completed. HOWEVER, it originally went to my junk e-mail box. I just happened to check it to clean it out and bam it was there, sitting for over 15 days. If I would have not checked my junk mail box, I never would have completed my supplemental.

I contacted UHCO admissions and told them about it ending up in the junk mail. So, check your junk e-mail box if you're expecting one. I check mine daily.

Yes they are backed up. I finally called and spoke with someone there this past week. My optomCAS application has been done since the end of July, and my UHCO supplemental was completed by the middle of august... and I hadn't heard anything from them regarding even receiving my full application, and if anything was missing. They apologized, and explained to me that they had a problem with their downloads and whatnot from optomCAS, so that, yes, they are a bit behind. They are trying to get our applications into the committee for reviews as fast as possible, but they admit that they are backed up and working on it. I know how you feel, because it's very difficult for me to try and wait patiently in this situation, but they said not to be worried, and that they are doing what they can.

Hope this helps... or at least provides a little assurance that you are not alone in this!

thanks for the info! it helpss...i called them and talked to the one of the advisors and was told that i should hear something by the end of the weeK? hopefully!
 
Hi everyone, I had a question, I submitted my supplementary application last week but after i put in my credit card information it just sent me to a page that said, questions and concerns call UHCO blah blah and some emails. It didn't say "thank you for submitting" or "your application was succesfully processed" or nothing of that nature which concerned me... was i supposed to recieve something an email confirmation or what? and after i submit am i still supposed to be able to see my application materials when i log in or no? If you know please let me know, because I don't want to panic submit again and then be charged twice. Thanks in advance.
 
You were supposed to receive an automatically generated confirmation email from them right after you submit it. After that, I believe you can log in to the system but it will not let you edit your application. I think you should e-mail tech support at UHCO to see if they've received your application successfully and your payment went through.
 
Thanks, yeah I figured as much. I submitted again but what a drag I wasted a lot of time. oh well, It's done now. =)
 
Hey,

I turned my application in about a week ago, and of course it's going to take a hundred years to process. So, I was just wondering how long the UHCO supplemental application takes to fill out? I also read online about the the prompt we have to write about: "What is optometry?"

I just wanted to confirm this with those of you that have already filled out the supplemental for UHCO. Are there any other essays? If so, what are the prompts? I need to catch up, and fast!

from what i recall, that's the only additional essay. There is a word count limit, and it is much less than the optomcas one 🙂

besides that, the supplemental if pretty straightforward. feel free to PM me if you have any other questions. good luck!
