How adcoms view MCAT?

Out of curiosity, do adcoms evaluate the MCAT based on the actual score or the percentile?

For instance, do adcoms view a CARS score of 128 as being 90th percentile (more impressive) or a 128 (less impressive)?
 
The score and the percentile mean exactly the same thing on an exam scaled the way the MCAT is. Obviously the percentile that matters is section specific.

That said, the McAT is not evaluated at this level of granularity. Either your score is good enough at that school or it isnt
 
Do schools put much weight on the sub-section scores, or pretty much look at the overall score and then move on to other factors (GPA, ECs, etc)?

I believe some schools can screen based on an individual section score, particularly CARS. So they do take each subsection score into account.
