Hello,

I will be a sophomore this fall and am already anxious/nervous about PT school. The whole applying and waiting for acceptance/denial from schools stresses me. Yes, I know I am still in the early stages of my college academic career but I was wondering if anybody had any advice, comments, criticism, anything for me?

How big of a role does gpa play? And with baseball it is pretty tough for me to have other extracurriculars. I picked my current major because it seems like everyone is an exercise science major for pre-pt.

Me:

Major: Biology
Minor: Psychology

GPA: 3.89
pre-req GPA: 3.93
Extracurricular: DIII baseball player
Volunteer hours: 0
GRE: Haven't taken it.

Pre-reqs taken: Gen Bio I, Gen Bio II, Calculus I, Psych 101, Medical terminology

You're looking great so far. Don't worry about other extracurriculars. If your GRE is anywhere near the GPA and you get your observation hours in you'll be in good shape.

Just get those 100 observation hours done somewhere in between baseball seasons and kill the GRE and you will be good as gold.

It looks like your stats are good so far. But I would say not to make getting into PT school the defining part of your college experience. There will be plenty of stressing when your app cycle comes. My recommendation is to keep up the good work and have fun in undergrad!
