For the first and second year, I know you need to study a lot both in school and after school. What about 3rd and 4th years? I know it is mostly clinical, but do you have a lot of work after finishing the day of school?

Im not in dental school yet, but from what I've heard, its a lot better than years 1 and 2. I think you do still have some classes in year 3, but nothing compared to what you've had previously. I'm pretty sure year 4 is solely clinic work and externships. I'm not 100% so someone correct me if I am wrong.
Haha my D3 friends are actually going to football games and school events. D4 friends are trying to get all their clinical requirements in so they can graduate but still better than D1 and D2 (whom I have not talked to for quite a while lol, go figure).
Yea I agree with above posters. My D3-D4 friends say 3rd year is pretty easy and 4th year the stress level goes back up because of the board exams. However overall both D3 and D4 years are more easier than D1/D2.
I've heard that 3rd year is a different kind of challenging. Those that did well in the academics may struggle with learning these new hand-skills or vice versa. That is to say, it's a whole new ballpark after 2nd year.
