Hi,
I was wondering how are the interview invitation notified for some of you that have received interviews? (ie snail mail, email and phone) and how was it done for each school? The thing is, I am out of the country right now and I am afriad I might get a phone call for interview and no one is there at my house to pick it up for me so are there any advices with this situation? I still have access to internet and I have someone picking up my mail for me, so I am not afraid of emails and snail mails. Thanks ahead of time. 😳

All three kinds occur. To see what schools used what method, go down a couple threads to " Class of 2009 interview thread" and you will see how people were notified.

Thanks!!! I looked at those too. But I was wondering for phone notification, do they also sent out email or snail mail in addition to the phone notification? Thanks again.

I recieved snail mail for my interview notice at TU-NV. All my other rejections have come via snail mail. No school has called or emailed since secondary. I am starting to dread the mail person! And I hate Sunday!

Why not send an email to the schools that you have sent secondaries to, letting them know that you are out of the country and the best way to contact you. Give them the dates that you will be gone, this way if they need to get a hold of you or invite you for an interview, they will have the most current means to do so.

good idea.. but maybe not so reliable since schools have ~2000 applications to deal with (maybe not in the first few month... you never know).

I got emails for all 4 invites and 2 followed up with mail packages a third is suppose to be mailed to me as well.

It is best if you have someone check your mail.. and massages. I know I can check my messages from any phone...

normally they only use one method----they don't try to contact with all sorts of methods

snail mail, email, and phone call are all used, but each school only used one total method (in my experience)

if you won't have access to a certain phone/address, then you need to update your information and give them a new number even if temporarily

all i got was emails from kcom, dmu, and ccom. 👍
